  • Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri: Lunch 11:20am – 12:00pm & After School 3:05pm – 3:20pm.
  • Thursdays: After School 12:20pm to 12:30pm.

Open to Parents: 

  • Monday to Friday: 8am to 3:30pm.
  • See Main Office if window is closed.

Payment Methods:
 

  • Cash, Debit, Visa and MasterCard.  
  • No Personal Cheques or American Express.
  • No payments accepted over the phone.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

FEE PAYMENTS:
School Fees will be added to student accounts on Sept., 1 with the exception of field trips, sports teams, optional course changes, ID Card replacements and overdue textbooks, which will be added throughout the year.
Please make payments via the Parent PowerSchool Portal (website, not App) or at the bookstore.  
As a not-for-profit organization, all fees are based on a cost-recovery basis.  Should the actual cost be less than the estimated cost/fee, a fee reduction will be applied to the students account over the summer break.
Online Payment Instructions

BUS PASS/ARC Card:
Monthly Reload: $60 (valid from 1st to last day of the month) – must be purchased through an ECSD school.
Initial ARC Card is provided to students, free of charge ($6 value) with purchase of reload.
Replacement ARC Cards: $6.
Initial and Replacement cards obtained thru Bookstore to avoid technical issues.
Reloads may take up to 48 hours to activate or transfer to a new card.  Bus Drivers are expected to allow ECSD students on the bus during this period. If denied, please note date, time, route and direction of the trip and report to the bookstore and 311.
Reloads are available to purchase on the 17th of the previous month to the 15th of the current month.
If reload is purchased through PowerSchool – no further action is require.
Register ARC cards at myarc.ca incase lost/stolen, or to load/protect ARC purse funds. 
ECSD reload is a special product and will show as a $0 value, say “Active” and have expiry date – this means card should scan green on bus.
See bookstore with any issues.  Students will be asked to log into their myarc.ca account.

CAUTION FEE:  
Textbook Deposit paid at the beginning of Grade 10 or upon joining McCaffery.  Required by all high school students to help recoup some of the cost of lost or damaged textbooks. Most textbooks cost more than $90.
Fee is refunded at the end of Grade 12 if there are no lost/damaged textbooks or outstanding fees on the student’s account. If account is paid in full and all textbooks are returned in satisfactory condition, a cheque will be mailed to the address listed in PowerSchool in the summer after graduation.

TEXTBOOKS:  
Textbooks are signed out for a semester and should be returned to the bookstore at the end of each semester.
Students are responsible for the textbooks that they sign out. 
Textbooks are barcoded and failure to return the same textbook will result in a lost textbook fee being added to their account. 
Students are not advised to leave textbooks in classrooms as teachers will not be held responsible if they are lost or stolen.

LOCKERS:  
Students are randomly assigned a new locker and lock each year.
Lockers are to be cleaned out at the end of each semester.
Any belongings left in the lockers over the summer will be put in the lost and found.
ONLY school locks are permitted on a school lockers.

ID CARDS:  
ID cards will be provided to students during orientation, free of charge for the first card.  
Students must always carry their ID cards.  
ID cards are required to sign out textbooks, obtain locker information, obtain an ARC Card, pick up items from the bookstore and write final exams.  
Replacement ID Cards can be purchased at the bookstore for $5. 
New students to McCaffery can obtain their ID card at the bookstore.

YEARBOOKS:  
Cost: $45.  
Available for purchase until June 30.
Estimated arrival: Fall of the following school year.
Online purchases are limited to 1 (to avoid duplicate orders), for more, please contact the bookstore.
